Op 26 november heb ik een lezing gehouden getiteld ´Overgangen in het Onderwijs´ op de Onderwijsconferentie NL2025, georganiseerd door Cosmicus in samenwerking met onder andere de PO Raad, de VO Raad en de Vereniging van Bijzondere Scholen (VBS). Het thema van deze dag was Overgangen in het Onderwijs door de hele school carrière heen, van primaire onderwijs tot aan beroepsopleidingen/universiteit, maar ook vanuit het onderwijs naar de arbeidsmarkt. Ik heb kort uitgelegd, op basis van het door mij ontwikkelt model over transities in het onderwijs (zie ook mijn proefschrift), hoe kinderen tijdens al deze overgangen kwetsbaar zijn en wat voor implicaties dit kan hebben voor hun verdere ontwikkeling in het onderwijs. Een schriftelijke weergave van deze presentatie zal binnen kort ook te lezen zijn op deze site onder het kopje Media & Publicaties.During the recent conference `Onderwijsconferentie NL2005´ (Education Conference NL 2005), held in The Hague on the 26th of November 2012, I held a presentation entitled `Transitions in Education´. The conference was organized by Cosmicus, together with, amongst others the ´PO Raad´ and the ´VO Raad´ (two organizations designed to bring together school councils with the aim to improve the quality of education and advise, amongst others, the government in relevant matters), as well as the Association of Special Schools (VBS). The theme of the conference was Transitions in Education, ranging from the transition to early education in primary school all the way through to transitions to higher education and even from education to the job market. In light of this topic, I briefly explained some of the basic components of the Security in Transition (SiT) Model, as developed by me in my PhD Dissertation. The main point being how vulnerable children in transition are and what potential implications this can have on their overall adjustment to new school settings, but also to learning an development in general.
